With the winter solstice behind us, the slow countdown to spring begins. It’ll be cold and wet for awhile yet, but at least we can start making plans about what to grow when it warms up! There's plenty to enjoy in the July garden. New season roses are in stores; it’s time to get strawberries planted, take cuttings, and prune your roses and deciduous trees; and it’s the perfect time to plant new fruit trees, and ornamental plants for winter and spring colour.
